After installing the connector, you can test the data flows before you go live with implementation. Testing is done to verify whether the records are syncing correctly between the systems (that is, whether the record has moved from the source system to the target system successfully and vice versa). The testing option is provided in the General Settings section.
To perform this testing, create a sample record (either in Salesforce or OpenAir). In the sample record, provide some text in the ‘Description’ field (or in any other ‘text’ field) and save the record. You can also test with multiple records. As long as they meet test mode criteria they will sync.
In integrator.io General Settings section, select the checkbox (Enable Test Mode). The option ‘Test Mode Text’ is enabled. In the text box, enter the same text (that you provided in the ‘Description field of the source system) and Save the setting (the text entered must start with the text provided in the ‘description’ field or must contain the keywords used in the description field). Next, run the corresponding data flow and verify whether the given record has moved into the target system. Check whether the text in the ‘description’ field of the source system record has moved into the corresponding ‘description’ field of the target record. Only those records containing the given keywords will sync and no other records are impacted. Once you confirm that the data flow is working as per your requirements, you can start using the data flows. The following screens depict the option.
Create and save a Salesforce record (in this example, Opportunity) and enter text for the 'Description field' (in this example, it is 'SampleDescription Record).
Next, in integrator.io General Settings, enable the Test Mode and enter the sample text (as provided in the source record). The content provided in the text box must begin with or contain the text provided in the 'Description' field in the source system. Save the Settings. The 'Salesforce Opportunity to OpenAir Project Add' data flow automatically runs and exports the data to OpenAir in real time.
Verify that the record is moved into OpenAir. Note that the Description field has the same text as provided in the source system. This indicates that the data flow is working correctly.
