In Magento, there are bundled items that are the equivalent of kits in NetSuite. Customers can decide to import bundled member items as individual items or as the kit parent. There are two properties in the configuration file that control the behavior:
importBundleChildItemsEnabled = true/false
removeBundleParentItemEnabled = true/false
There is another setting in the Magento admin that needs to be configured as well. This is the Ship Bundle Items found under the settings of the bundled item. This can be set to either ship Together or Separately.
If importBundleChildItemsEnabled is set to true and removeBundleParentItemEnabled is true, then the order import will only bring in the member items without the parent. In this case, the order import will add individual items in the NetSuite Sales Order. When the Item Fulllment is created, the individual quantities of the bundled items will be sent to the Magento Shipment record. The setting for Ship Bundle Items should be set to Separately in this scenario.
The default setting for Bundled Items is importBundleChildItemsEnabled is set to false and removeBundleParentItemEnabled is false. In this scenario, the Bundled Item parent is imported as the parent Kit item in the NetSuite sales order. When the Item Fulllment is created, the Fulllment Export will send out the Kit item which will then fulfill the Bundled Item in Magento. Ship Bundle Items should be set to Together.
