Overview
JIRA - NetSuite Integration App helps synchronize your product development processes and back-office operations. The Integration App provides real-time synchronization of information between NetSuite and JIRA enabling teams to collaborate with speed and efficiency.
Before You Begin
Before you begin with the installation of the JIRA - NetSuite Integration App, perform the steps mentioned below.
1. Accomplish the steps mentioned in the Prerequisites and Pre-installation tasks articles.
2. Install the integrator.io and JIRA bundles in NetSuite.
a. Install integrator.io bundle in NetSuite.
b. Install JIRA Bundle in NetSuite.
Note: The Issue Management Module must be enabled in the NetSuite account. Contact NetSuite Support to have the Issue Management feature enabled.
Install integrator.io bundle in NetSuite
To install the integrator.io bundle in NetSuite:
1. In NetSuite, go to Customization > SuiteBundler > Search & Install Bundles.
2. In the Search bar, enter "Celigo integrator.io". Find Bundle ID 20038.
3. Click Install.
Install JIRA Bundle in NetSuite
To install the JIRA bundle in NetSuite:
1. In NetSuite, go to Customization > SuiteBundler > Search & Install Bundles.
2. In the KEYWORDS textbox, enter "Celigo JIRA Connector" and then click Search. Find Bundle ID 105447.
3. Click Install.
Install JIRA-NetSuite Integration App
To install the JIRA-NetSuite Integration App (integrator.io):
1. In integrator.io, go to integrator.io Menu (the Waffle icon) > Integration Marketplace > JIRA > JIRA - NetSuite Integration App.
2. Click Install. The integrator.io Dashboard page will appear and in that, you can see the JIRA - NetSuite Integration App tile is ready for setup.
Note: If you see the Contact Sales button instead of the Install button, please reach out to your Account Executive to check the status of your Integration App license.
3. On the JIRA - NetSuite Integration App tile, click Setup and go through the guided install process.
4. On the JIRA - NetSuite Integration App Setup page,
a. For NetSuite Connection, Configure NetSuite Account Credentials.
b. For JIRA Connection, Configure JIRA Connection Credentials.
c. For Integrator Bundle, the Installed status will come automatically. This is because you installed the integrator.io bundle.
Note: If you are seeing the Click to Install link, click the link and this will open the NetSuite login page. Log in to NetSuite using your NetSuite credentials and the Click to Install will automatically convert to the Verify Now link. Now click Verify Now.
d. For JIRA Bundle, click Verify Now. This is because you installed the JIRA bundle.

e. For JIRA Components, Install JIRA Components.
Configure NetSuite Connection Credentials
To configure NetSuite Connection credentials:
1. On the JIRA - NetSuite Integration App Setup page, for NetSuite Connection, click Click to Configure;
2. In the NetSuite Connection dialog box, you can select either of the following authentication types:
- (RECOMMENDED) Select Authentication Type as Token and also perform the following steps.
a. Create access tokens for the NetSuite connection.
b. Provide access tokens to the NetSuite connection.
- Select Authentication Type as Basic and perform the following steps:
a. Enter your NetSuite email id and password and then click Validate. The button label changes to Validated and then you can select the desired values for Environment, Account, and Role.
b. Click the Save button.
Configure JIRA Connection Credentials
To configure JIRA Connection credentials:
1. On the JIRA - NetSuite Integration App Setup page, for JIRA Connection, click Click to Configure.
2. In the JIRA Connection window, enter appropriate details for Base URI, Username, Password.
3. Click Test. The Connection is working fine message appears.
Install JIRA Components
To install JIRA Components in your JIRA account, you can choose either of the following methods
- An on-premise version called JIRA Server
- A hosted solution called JIRA Cloud
Note: It is mandatory that you already have a project in your JIRA account (cloud/server). Otherwise, the installation of JIRA components will fail.
Install JIRA Components on JIRA Server
To install JIRA components on the JIRA server:
1. Click Click to Install and you will be redirected to your JIRA account. Log in using your Admin credentials.
2. In the Atlassian Marketplace for JIRA, lookup for the ‘NetSuite Integration App for JIRA’ add-on and Install the app. The installation begins and gets completed successfully.
3. After the installation completes, return to the installation section and then click Verify Now. The Verify Now text changes to Configured in a few minutes.
After installation, the integrator.io data flows and the settings dashboard is displayed. You can configure and run the data flows from this section.
Install JIRA Components on JIRA Cloud
To install JIRA components on the JIRA cloud:
- Click Click to Install and the installation begins automatically.
- For existing JIRA Cloud projects, Enable Integration App-specific custom fields and select screens.
- (optional) When adding a new JIRA Cloud project, select screens.
Notes:
- After the Integration App Installation, please ensure the WebHooks were created. The JIRA WebHooks are created as part of the JIRA Component installation.
- After you associate the screens for Integration App-specific custom fields, they start appearing while creating a JIRA issue.
Enable Integration App Specific Custom Fields and Select Screens
To enable Integration App specific custom fields and select screens for existing projects:
1. Go to Issues > Custom fields. The Integration App specific custom fields are displayed here. You are required to enable all the relevant screens for the following custom fields: NetSuite Billable, NetSuite Customer, NetSuite Id, NetSuite Issue Number, NetSuite Product, NetSuite Service Item, NetSuite Status, and NetSuite Update.
2. For each custom field, click the … icon and then click Screens and select all the relevant screens under it.
3. Click Update. After the association, the list of screens is displayed in the custom field section.
Select Screens for New JIRA CloudProject
When you create a new project in JIRA Cloud, additional screens get created for the project. Therefore, you must, for each custom field, enable all the screens present under them. For each custom field, you can find the screens at Issues > Custom fields > [click on the desired custom field] > … > Screens.
Note: During the installation and implementation phases, the Celigo Services and Support team will require a user role with editing permissions on the record types that the Integration App touches: Issues, Support Cases, Projects, Project Task, Time Tracking, Employees, Customer and Contacts.
