[Edit 8/7/2012: The original Magento Item Export has been deprecated and was replaced by the Real-Time Item Export. To read more about this flow click here. To upgrade to the new Real-Time Item Export for a fee please contact your Celigo Account Manager]
Items in NetSuite are pulled according to schedule and sent to Magento. The connector keeps track of each sync time and only pulls items that have changed since the last sync. New items are not pulled by the connector and must be set up manually in Magento using the Magento Admin console. Only Inventory items (non-Matrix) and Kit items are supported.
Very Important: Only items with the Magento Item box checked are exported. By default, this check box is on the Custom tab of the item record in NetSuite (see picture in Inventory Sync section).
By default, an item’s Item Name/Number field is used to find items in Magento. External IDs or any text custom field may be used as well. The Inactive field in NetSuite exports to Magento’s Status field (which has values enabled and disabled). The NetSuite Taxable field maps to Magento’s Tax Class field (taxable items in NetSuite are set to Taxable Goods in Magento). The Weight field in NetSuite maps to Magento’s Weight field. If any of the fields are blank in NetSuite, they are ignored in the export.
Probably the most powerful piece of the item export is the pricing export. All pricing changes made to an item in NetSuite export to Magento in the item export. Standard pricing, list pricing, and quantity pricing are all supported by the connector.
Monitoring your item exports is identical to monitoring your quantity exports. Please click here for more details.
Your item export runs hourly five days a week (excluding early morning hours when typical server maintenance windows occur).
In addition to the standard fields synced above, the connector also supports the ability to send custom mappings to Magento. The interface to add new mappings is similar to other connector mappings (configuarable within your NetSuite account).
