If the transactions are compliant, you can select Automatch from the drop down and the accounts are automatically matched and displays the green check mark.
In a similar way, you can select the records to match and mark them as selected for the other record types of: Partially Matched, Potentially Matched and Unmatched Transactions.
Manually match transactions
You can review the remaining records (that failed the automatch criteria) and manually match them by checking the corresponding radio-buttons and then clicking the Match Checkbox. Refer the following example.
The two records that need to be matched are marked.
Select the Radio button of the Bank Transaction on the left.
Next, select the NetSuite transaction on the right.
As soon as you select the radio button for the NetSuite transaction on the right, the Checkbox in the middle also gets checked, displaying a check mark in a green background, indicating that the records are matched.
Un-matching the records
You can either manually deselect the radio buttons of the transactions and deselect the Matched Checkbox to unmatch the records or you can use the drop down.
The records are unmatched and the Checkbox is automatically turned off to unchecked.
You can also move the records side by side and select the checkbox to match the transaction manually.
After matching the records, they must be ‘Marked as Cleared’. This will permanently mark them as cleared. Once the record is marked as cleared, it cannot be unmatched.
Moving the records
The transaction records can be moved around by dragging them to the required position (up or down), so matching the records (side by side) becomes easy.
