The Celigo Salesforce Connector needs a valid set of Salesforce credentials that have access to all object types that are being synced between Salesforce and NetSuite. These credentials are used to make the web service requests to Salesforce that are used by the integration. If these credentials are invalid, the integration will be unable to connect to Salesforce, and the integration will cease to function.
Steps To Update Credentials
- Go to the Integration Dashboard in NetSuite
- Enter the Salesforce username and password for the user that the integration should use
- The security token should not be needed for most Salesforce integrations
To verify that the update was successful and the new credentials are in fact functional, please refresh the Celigo Integration log. You should see a message along the lines of the following. The Celigo Integration log should also be displayed as a custom search portlet in your Celigo Integration Admin role. The update process may take a few minutes to complete and you may need to click refresh on the Celigo Integration Log portlet to see the new message.
- Depending on how your Salesforce account is setup, your web services user may have its password expired on a periodic basis. In this case, we (Celigo) lose the ability to communicate with you via Salesforce and things may mysteriously stop working. If things do mysteriously stop working, please login to your Salesforce account using the web services user credentials to make sure the password has not expired. If it has, Salesforce requires you to update it. Once updated, please follow the steps above to update us as well. It is currently a best practice to keep passwords from expiring to avoid running into the situation just described.
