On the Opportunity page in Salesforce, there is a Quote button, as shown below. When this button is clicked, a new quote is generated in NetSuite. Note: if this button is not visible on your Opportunity page, please contact your Salesforce administrator to have it added to the opportunity page layout.
Once a quote is created in NetSuite, it is sent back to Salesforce as a quote and stored in a custom object that displays on the Opportunity page in a related list. If this related list is not visible on your Opportunity page, please contact your Salesforce administrator to have it added to the Opportunity page layout.
The Quote custom object in Salesforce contains high level information about your NetSuite transaction along with a PDF representation of the NetSuite quote. The PDF documents are generated by NetSuite and can be modified by standard NetSuite functionality. The PDF documents can also be emailed to clients for signature/approval, the the returned signed/approved copy can be attached.
By default, the following mappings are installed:
|NetSuite Field||Salesforce Field||Notes|
|Sales Rep||Opportunity Owner|
|Item > Description||Product > Line Description||The Salesforce Line Description field has certain limitations and, optionally, you can use the (Celigo built) Description field instead. It sources its value from the product description field and allows up to 32,000 chars.|
|Item > Item||Product > Product|
|Item > Quantity||Product > Quantity|
|Item > Rate||Product > Sales Price|
If an error occurs when an opportunity is synced, it is logged in Salesforce, in the NetSuite Sync field on the opportunity page. If the sync is successful, the field is empty. The error is also displayed in NetSuite in the Celigo Integration Log.
