Account Import or Export
The Integration App syncs all accounts in your Salesforce account in real time[1] that meet the following criteria:
- The account has already been synced with a NetSuite customer record. The initial sync of an account record is triggered when a quote is created for the account. The Create Quote function is available on the Opportunity page and is documented in the Opportunity Sync section of this guide. This allows new accounts that have not been synced to be created and edited without cluttering NetSuite customer data.
- The account has not been locked in NetSuite. When the Salesforce Lock Record box is checked on a customer record in NetSuite, account data from Salesforce is not synced to NetSuite.
- The only case where updates will not be synced from Salesforce to NetSuite is if the user has checked the "Create Only" checkbox in the Integration App settings. This ensures no updates are synced. If it is unchecked, then updates will be synced regardless of the status of the Account / Customer.
Note: The Integration App provides an option to sync a Salesforce Account associated with an Opportunity as NetSuite Customer when that Opportunity is synced as a NetSuite Sales Order. Once a Salesforce Account is synced to a NetSuite Customer further updates in the Account will sync automatically to NetSuite without syncing the Opportunity again.
In addition to real-time data syncs, there is also an Update from NetSuite button on the account page that searches NetSuite for the latest financial data (or any information you have mapped in the reverse customer sync). Note that this feature is only available for Salesforce Enterprise or higher editions.
If an error occurs when an account is synced, the error is logged in NetSuite in the Celigo Integration Log. On Enterprise and Unlimited editions, the error is also displayed on the contact record in Salesforce in the NetSuite Sync field, as shown below. If the sync is successful, the field contains the time-stamp of the last sync.
