Viewing Discount Items in Salesforce
A Discount Item created in NetSuite DOES NOT appear as a Product in Salesforce. The ‘Discount Item’ is created as a custom object in Salesforce by Celigo. Therefore, this object is not visible on the Salesforce main menu by default. To make the ‘Discount Items tab’ visible on the Salesforce main menu, configure the menu using the following simple steps.
From your Salesforce Account, go into Setup.
On the left navigation panel, go to the Build section and click Create to expand the list and then, click Tabs.
From this section you can create/view custom tabs. Click New to view the list of Tabs created by Celigo.
The list of Custom Object Tabs is displayed from the Objects drop down list.
Select Discount Item Object from the list, then select Tab Style and click Next..
Choose the user profiles for which the new custom tab will be available. In this example, all options are ‘Default On’. Click Next.
Choose the custom apps for which the new custom tab will be available and click Save. In this example, all apps are selected.
The Discount Item object is now added to the Custom Objects tab.
Refresh the browser. The ‘Discount Item’ tab is now visible in the Salesforce Main Menu.
Click the Discount Items tab to find the list of Discount Items that were created from within NetSuite and were exported to Salesforce. In this example, the Student Discount Item created in NetSuite is displayed in the list.
The next section describes the creation of a Discount Item in NetSuite and how the custom object is applied to Opportunities and Products.
