The financials export flow provides back office visibility to Salesforce. The flow brings updates from NetSuite to Salesforce as a sales order moves through fulfillment and billing in NetSuite. Various finance related events such as order approval, fulfillment, invoice/cash sales creation, acceptance of payment, generation of credit memos/cash refunds, and similar are replicated instantaneously within Salesforce, attached as custom Financial objects to an account and opportunity.
The following NetSuite transactions are exported to Salesforce:
- NetSuite Invoice
- NetSuite Payment/Deposit
- NetSuite Credit Memo
- NetSuite Cash Sale
- NetSuite Cash Refund
- NetSuite Customer Refund
The Connector will sync the pdf’s of the following transactions – sales order, invoice/cash sale, customer payment, credit memos/cash refunds – from NetSuite to Salesforce. The pdf will be stored as data storage with Salesforce.
Additionally, if enabled, the Connector will sync the following customer financial information from the NetSuite Customer to Salesforce Account, on a batch basis:
- credit limit
- hold
- balance
- overdue balance
- days overdue
- unbilled orders
Only header level data is exported from NetSuite to the Salesforce financial object. Line level data is included in the pdf’s.
Financials Export, NetSuite to Salesforce
The connector syncs financial transactions from NetSuite with a custom object called NetSuite Financial in Salesforce. The custom object is accessible from a global tab, along with an account-level related list. To see all financial transactions for a given account, open the account and view the NetSuite Financials related list. If this related list is not visible on your Account page, please contact your Salesforce administrator to have it added to the Account page layout. Individual transactions can be viewed in more detail by clicking the Transaction Id link.
Financials Export– Salesforce Connector Enterprise
In addition to the Standard feature of bringing back header data of various transaction types related to the corresponding account, Salesforce Enterprise provides the following:
- Pdf files generated for different transactions in NetSuite are exported to Salesforce and are synced along with the corresponding financial object. All financial objects are associated with the account in a Financial tab present on the account object.
- The individual pdf details for a financial can be seen by clicking on the Document link present on the financial in Salesforce.
- Multiple transaction types in NetSuite are supported for generation of pdf files. These include: Purchase Order, Invoice, Customer Payment, Cash Refund, Credit Memo, Customer Refund, Customer Deposit and Cash Sale, Sales Order and Quotes.
To generate the pdf, make sure the Attach PDF field present on the corresponding deployment of the user event script is on.

Where can I find a step-by-step guide to enabling these flows? Should the flows be enabled in a particular order?
Hi Dustin, these flows are available via our Enterprise version of the Salesforce - NetSuite Connector. We will have your Account Manager followup with you to verify your current version and ensure you receive the guidance needed.
What is the trigger for the information to be updated in Salesforce?
It says, "Additionally, if enabled, the Connector will sync the following customer financial information from the NetSuite Customer to Salesforce Account, on a batch basis:"
But, I find that is not happening except when a customer record is edit/saved. Without that, it's not triggering the sync to Salesforce.
