Note: The name “SmartConnector” will be changing to “Integration App” to more clearly establish that our pre-built Integration Apps are built on our flagship Integration Platform as a Service, integrator.io. Find out more about integrator.io.
When an opportunity from Salesforce comes into NetSuite as a sales order, the Account is brought in as a Customer in NetSuite.
When a Salesforce Account is synced with NetSuite, a Customer record is created in NetSuite. The following settings enable you to configure the synchronization of Accounts/Customers in multiple ways:
Create Only: Select ‘Create Only’ checkbox when you want the sync to happen only at the time of the creation of the NetSuite Customer. If there are further updates on the Salesforce Account, the changes are not carried forward into NetSuite (Customer is not updated).
Sync Only With Opportunity: Selecting this checkbox syncs only those Accounts that are associated with an Opportunity. The Account is synced only when the Opportunity is being synced. When the Opportunity is synced, the Integration App (SmartConnector) checks whether the associated Account is already present in NetSuite. If an Account is already present, the Integration App (SmartConnector) will sync the Opportunity. If not, the Integration App (SmartConnector) will first sync the Account (create a customer in NetSuite) and then sync the Opportunity to a sales order.
Parent Sync: Both Salesforce and NetSuite allow hierarchy in their Account and Customer setup. The parent level Accounts can also be synced. Selecting this checkbox enables to sync Accounts that have parents and grandparents (levels/hierarchy).
Parent Sync Level: Choose levels of parent Account hierarchy to be synced.
Split Address Lines: On the Salesforce side, only one field is provided to enter the complete address (Street Address). On the NetSuite side, the address option is split into multiple address lines. Selecting this checkbox provides the option to split the single address line into multiple lines. Choose how many lines you want the address to split into when you sync from Salesforce to NetSuite.

On demand sync of financial information from NetSuite – update financial information from NetSuite to a Salesforce Account. A button is configured in the Salesforce Account Record object for this purpose.
