Item Export (NetSuite to Salesforce)
The connector exports all items in your NetSuite account in real time. In addition to the mappings, pricing information between NetSuite and Salesforce is also synced. The pricing sync supports a mapping between NetSuite price levels and Salesforce price groups.
Marking an item as inactive or deleting an item in NetSuite will also be synced in Salesforce. Specifically, either of these actions in NetSuite will result in the corresponding Salesforce product’s price book entries all being marked as inactive. When a product’s price book entries are all inactive, the product is no longer selectable from the add products page on an opportunity.
If an error occurs when an item is synced, it is logged in NetSuite on the item page in the SFDC Sync field. The error is also displayed in NetSuite in the Celigo Integration Log.
The connector also supports the ability to control which item types are synced. By default, all types are turned on for the sync. To turn off a particular item type, go to Setup > Customization > Scripts > Celigo NS SFDC Item Sync, and then go to the Deployments tab for that script. To turn off the item sync for a particular item type, edit the corresponding deployment and un-check the Deployed checkbox.
In addition to controlling which item types are synced, the connector supports the ability to control which items within a given item type are synced. To enable this setting for a given item type, click on the deployment record. On the deployment record, under the Parameters tab, check the Use SFDC Item Checkbox. Once this box is checked, only items where the SFDC Item box on the item record is checked will sync.
The most commonly used Item types in NetSuite that are supported are:
- Inventory Item
- Kit Item
- Non-Inventory Item
- Serialized Inventory Item
- Service Item
- Discount Item
