NetSuite Customer Deposit to Salesforce Financial Flow
A customer deposit transaction records the funds received when a customer makes an advance payment for an order. This payment is recorded in the general ledger as a liability until the goods or services are actually delivered, and does not affect the customer's accounts receivable balance. Once the order is filled, the deposit is applied against the invoice and the liability is cancelled out.
The flow brings updates from NetSuite to Salesforce as a sales order moves through fulfillment and billing in NetSuite. Various finance related events such as order approval, fulfillment, invoice/cash sales creation, acceptance of payment, generation of credit memos/cash refunds, and similar are replicated instantaneously within Salesforce, and attached as custom Financial objects to an account and opportunity.
The Connector will sync the pdf’s of the following transactions from NetSuite to Salesforce – sales order, invoice/cash sale, customer payment, credit memos/cash refunds.
The following screens depict the record in NetSuite and Salesforce.
The connector syncs financial transactions from NetSuite with a custom object called NetSuite Financial in Salesforce. The custom object is accessible from a global tab along with an account-level related list. To see all financial transactions for a given account, open the account and view the NetSuite Financials related list. If this related list is not visible on your Account page, please contact your Salesforce administrator to have it added to the Account page layout. Individual transactions can be viewed in more detail by clicking the Transaction Id link.
