NetSuite Invoice to Salesforce Financial Flow
An invoice is a record of a sale to a customer. Invoicing is the process of creating bills for goods and services that customers receive. Record an invoice when payment is not received at the time of delivery. The invoice amount is the total due to be paid to you by the customer.
The flow brings updates from NetSuite to Salesforce as a sales order moves through fulfillment and billing in NetSuite. Various finance related events such as order approval, fulfillment, invoice/cash sales creation, acceptance of payment, generation of credit memos/cash refunds, and similar are replicated instantaneously within Salesforce, and attached as custom Financial objects to an account and opportunity.
The Connector will sync the pdf’s of the following transactions from NetSuite to Salesforce – sales order, invoice/cash sale, customer payment, credit memos/cash refunds.
The following screens depict the record in NetSuite and Salesforce.
The connector syncs financial transactions from NetSuite with a custom object called NetSuite Financial in Salesforce. The custom object is accessible from a global tab along with an account-level related list. To see all financial transactions for a given account, open the account and view the NetSuite Financials related list. If this related list is not visible on your Account page, please contact your Salesforce administrator to have it added to the Account page layout. Individual transactions can be viewed in more detail by clicking the Transaction Id link.

My users can't open the PDF File attached invoices on these records. Seems only System Administrators and the finance person who is generating these are able to open the linked PDF file. Any ideas why? Are we missing some permission that isn't clear?
Hi @De'Anna Chapin,
Thank you for writing to us. Could you refer to the article on Required permissions for user role in Salesforce and verify if you have enabled the necessary permissions on your Custom Role?
Actually turns out it was because a folder hadn't been set in the general settings for the integration, but setting that up with an accessible folder seems to have solved the issue. Thanks for following up!
Thanks for this hint. I made this change and now my users can see newly created or edited pdfs, but they can't see pdfs created before the change to a shared folder. Is there a way I can trigger a move of all the existing pdfs to the new folder so that users can access them?
I used Data Loader to export all the Documents that needed to be moved, and updated the FolderID to the new folder that the users had access to.
Hi Kate Porter!
Thanks for providing a solution! Will this work for you, Butterfly Network?
Yes this works thank you so much De'Anna Chapin!
It is possible to sync invoices to an opportunity using just the opportunity ID but not the account ID?
Hi Loren McWethy,
We're checking with the experts on this integration app and will get back to you asap.
Hi Loren McWethy,
Both Opportunity and Account lookups are populated for an Invoice.
The opportunity lookup will be populated if you have a Salesforce Opportunity ID on the invoice transaction.
You may edit the Salesforce opportunity layout to add related list for Financials.
Does Celigo support Invoice Line Level information synching to SFDC?
