What is changing?
If you use NetSuite OneWorld, prior to the 2018.1 release, NetSuite allowed users to assign a customer record to only one subsidiary. With the 2018.1 release, NetSuite is introducing the Multi-Subsidiary Customer feature that permits you to share a customer or sub-customer record with multiple subsidiaries.
For more information about this feature, see the Customer Record Shared with Multiple Subsidiaries topic in NetSuite’s 2018.1 release notes.
Salesforce-NetSuite Connector uses the subsidiary information associated with the customer to sync Sales Order, Opportunity, and Quote. Enabling this feature in NetSuite may impact the way this connector process information in NetSuite. For more information on possible impacts, see What is the impact?
Our Recommendation
At present, the Multi-Subsidiary Customer feature is not supported by Salesforce-NetSuite Connector. We recommend you not to use/enable this feature in NetSuite until this feature is supported with this connector.
What is the impact?
When this feature is enabled in NetSuite, regardless of the available subsidiaries for a customer, Sales Order, Opportunity, or Quote will always be created for the primary subsidiary when information is synced from Salesforce to NetSuite.
