eBay - NetSuite Integration App release notes (2017-2021)

Release notes v1.13.0, October 2021

What's fixed

Sync orders in a multi-currency setup with correct variances (if any)

If a multi-currency setup (different marketplace domains and different currencies) is enabled in NetSuite, the eBay order to NetSuite order flow syncs the orders correctly with correct variances (if any).

Calculate tax correctly when a shipping line item is non-taxable and cart-level taxes are applicable

If an order has cart-level taxes applicable and a non-taxable shipping line item, in this scenario, the eBay order to NetSuite order flow now syncs the orders correctly without creating any variance in NetSuite. The flow does not consider the cart-level tax for the non-taxable shipping line item.

Release notes v1.12.0, May 2021

What’s enhanced

The Integration App uninstaller is now improved to manage all the scenarios related to uninstallation without any Integration App corruption or errors.

What’s new

The integration app is now available in the EU marketplace

Release notes v1.11.0, January 2021

What’s enhanced

Display dependent flows on the Integration App user interface

You can now find the dependent flows on the Integration App user interface that was previously available only in the backend code. These flows are either auto-triggered or run in sequence by one of the existing integration flows. You can’t schedule, enable, or run the dependent flows. For more information, refer to Intro to Error Management . Following are the dependent flows:

  • eBay order to NetSuite order Add (on-demand sync)

  • eBay ItemID to NetSuite item (update)

For more information, refer to Understand the eBay - NetSuite Integration App dependent flows .

Release notes v1.10.1, September 2020

What’s enhanced

Update inventory, kit inventory, and item price for multiple eBay listings linked to a single NetSuite item

The integration app is enhanced to update inventory, kit inventory, and item price for multiple eBay listings linked to a single NetSuite item:

  • If you run the “NetSuite Inventory to eBay Inventory Add/Update” flow, the flow sync and updates the inventory for all the eBay listings of that store linked to a single NetSuite item.

  • If you run the “NetSuite Kit Inventory to eBay Inventory Add/Update” flow, the flow sync and updates the kit inventory for all the eBay listings of that store linked to a single NetSuite item.

  • If you run the “NetSuite Item Price to eBay Product Price Add/Update” flow, the flow updates the item price for all the eBay listings of that store linked to a single NetSuite item.

What’s fixed

Sales order not to display any shipping total variance when GST/VAT order’s shipping is non-taxable

If the item in a GST/VAT order is taxable, order shipping is non-taxable, in the integration app if the Deduct GST/VAT from order total checkbox is checked in the Settings > Order > Tax tab, the tax should not be deducted from the shipping amount and the sales order should not report any shipping total variance.

Release notes v1.9.4, May 2020

Information: You can find the integrator.io release notes for May 2020 here.

What’s enhanced

Delist an eBay product from NetSuite

The “NetSuite Item to eBay Item Add/Update” flow now allows you to automatically delist an item from NetSuite. You might delist an item if it sold out in another sales channel or if you manually want to delist the item from NetSuite.

For more information, refer here .

Exclude tax calculation if eBay collects and remits the tax

A new setting Exclude tax if Marketplace Tax Collection applies is introduced in the General > Tax tab. Select this setting if you do not want to bring the tax details into the NetSuite sales order for the states where eBay collects and remits taxes on your behalf. When you select the check box, the integration app does not calculate taxes for the orders.

Added “eTail Transaction IDs” field in NetSuite.

In the “eBay Order to NetSuite Order Add” flow, add the below mapping to sync the order related transaction IDs to NetSuite. The transaction IDs are populated in the eTail Transaction IDs ( Sales order > eTail tab) field. The transaction ID is also useful to search the cash sale record in NetSuite using the global search option.

Export Field (HTTP)

Import Field (NetSuite)

Etail Transaction Id(s)

Sync quantity at the variant level

You can now sync the quantity from Netsuite to eBay at the variant level. To display a specific quantity for each variant item, add a new column in the “Celigo eBay Item Export” saved search ( Celigo eBay Item Export Search > Results tab > Columns ) as below:

Field

Custom label

<select the custom field from which you want to sync the quantity value>

Batch size is updated to improve the flow performance

The batch size is updated for the following flows from 20 to 1000 to improve the flow run-time performance:

  • NetSuite Inventory to eBay Inventory Add/Update

  • NetSuite Kit Inventory to eBay Inventory Add/Update

  • NetSuite Item Price to eBay Product Price Add/Update

What’s fixed

Differentiate the “Map Item Specifics” and “Map Variation Specifics” fields without any item sync error

If you define the same value in the column’s custom label of the “Celigo eBay Item Export” saved search and in the “Map Item Specifics” or “Map Variation Specifics” advanced setting. In this scenario, the “NetSuite Item to eBay Item Add/Update” flow differentiates and syncs the value of the NetSuite custom field specified in the advanced setting. While processing the item and variation specifics, the flow does not consider the value of the saved search column labels.

Release notes v1.5.0, July 2018

What's new

Support for Virtual Variations (parent/child relationship without using matrix item feature)

To support this feature, the NetSuite Item to eBay Item Add/Update flow has been enhanced to accommodate creating virtual variation items. This feature allows you to leverage the virtual variation functionality by Celigo to set up a parent-child relationship between the Inventory (Matrix & Non-Matrix), Assembly (Matrix & Non-Matrix), and Kit Items without using the matrix item feature in NetSuite.

As part of this enhancement, you are no longer required to use NetSuite's native Matrix Item functionality to set up a parent-child relationship instead you can use simple items and a custom field to create a virtual parent-child relationship between their SKUs.

For more information see, Set up a parent-child relationship without NetSuite's Matrix Item functionality.

Support for displaying images for matrix children from child, not parent

Prior to this release, a matrix item always displayed images associated with the Parent SKU on eBay. This was the case even when a child SKU having its own image was selected on eBay. For example, consider a shirt has been listed on eBay with variation type:

  • Size- Small, Medium, Large

  • Color - Red, Blue, Green.

In this case, eBay was displaying only Red color shirt for the item regardless of selecting different colors in the various choices. By making a few simple changes in the Celigo eBay Item Export Search saved search, you can now display the images associated with the child items on eBay.

To enable this feature, look for Celigo eBay Item Export Search saved search in NetSuite. Open the saved search in the Edit mode and go to the Results tab and do one of the following:

  • Add a new row as highlighted in green and displayed in the following image, if you want to hard-code a specific variation theme as a varying option for images. In this image, color has been hardcoded as a varying option for images. Therefore, an image specific to the child SKU will only be displayed when the available color is selected by a buyer on eBay. If the only Size is selected, only the parent item image will be displayed as color is selected as the varying option.

  • If you do not want to hardcode a variation theme as a varying option for images, add a new row as highlighted in red in the following image, and in the Field column, select the field that will govern among all variation theme options which variation theme needs to be used as a varying option for images. In this image, Primary Variant is the example of a custom field that has been used in the saved search that will govern which varying option for images needs to be selected for every item individually.

Images_for_matrix_children.jpg

After making one of these changes in the saved search, when the buyer selects a blue shirt from the drop-down, the image will be updated to the blue one, similarly, when a white shirt is selected, eBay will show the white shirt image.

Support to add multiple item specifics for an item on eBay

Item Specifics let you provide details about the item you're selling, such as brand, size type, size, color, and style. These details appear at the top of your listing description, in a consistent format, making it easy for buyers to get the facts about your item.

Via connector, you can add multiple item specifics details for an item on eBay by using a custom field in the item record of type “Multiple Select”. Once you add such a field in the NetSuite item record, all you need to do next is to add the internal id of the same field in Product > Advanced Settings > General >Map Item Specifics > NetSuite Field Id > add the internal id of the custom field > Save.

What's new

New integration flow added in the Inventory section

Prior to this enhancement, an error was generated in the Dashboard page of the connector, while trying to update information or price for an item that has been deactivated by you or eBay (typically eBay ends listing for the out-of-stock listing after 90 days).

With this enhancement a new, eBay Ended Listings to NetSuite Update, integration flow has been added in the connector to bring ended listings information from eBay to NetSuite, so that the deactivated item record is not selected by the saved searches associated with item and pricing integration flow.

eBay_ended_listings_flow.jpg

With this release, you can also use the LISTING ENDED checkbox in the Celigo eBay Item Id Account Map record to relist the item and update information. For more information, see How to activate an ended listing for an item on eBay?

For more information, see the eBay Ended Listings to NetSuite Update topic in the Inventory article.

Capability to use eBay Listing Id in NetSuite global search to find the item

With this enhancement, you can now use eBay Listing Id in the NetSuite’s global search to find associated Celigo eBay Item Id Account Map record > Item record in NetSuite.

Release notes v1.4.4, December 2017

What’s new

Multi-domain support for eBay HTML Templates feature

The HTML Template feature has been enhanced with this release to support multiple accounts and domains.

To enable multi-domain support for this feature, a new field, Rendered Html Template Item, has been added to the Celigo eBay HTML Template record within NetSuite. Enter the internal id of the field you wish to use for storing the rendered information in the Rendered Html Template Item field. It is required for you to define a different internal id for every template when selecting multiple domains for one item.

If you do not provide any value for the Rendered Html Template Item field, the connector will render the default item field 'eBay Rendered HTML Template' which comes from the bundle.

For more information, see Support for using HTML templates for listing items using the information in NetSuite.

1.jpg

What’s enhanced

Support for rendering Images in the HTML Template from custom record

The NetSuite-eBay connector has been enhanced to support processing images stored in custom records through the HTML template. To enable this functionality, you are required to edit the Celigo eBay Item Html Template Export Search saved search. In the saved search > Results tab> Field column, add NetSuite fields where you have stored images and in the CUSTOMLABEL column add the corresponding custom label you want to add in the HTML template.

Note

The connector only supports this feature when the custom label you wish to use has “__IMAGE” as a prefix. Images will not be rendered when this prefix is not used in the custom label. This field is case sensitive, so the prefix “__IMAGE” must always be added in the upper case.

CustLabel__IMAGE and __imageCustLabel are incorrect ways of defining the custom label. The correct way to define this custom label is __IMAGECustLabel.

Release notes v1.4.0, October 2017

What's new

Support for using HTML templates to list item on eBay

eBay provides its sellers with an option to use HTML templates for listing items, where sellers could provide a rich HTML content template (on an item level) and fully control the appearance of the listing on the eBay front end. This feature enables you to use the same HTML template for multiple product listings, yet display information that is specific to a product in your eBay store. Celigo doesn’t provide any HTML template. This feature only allows you to leverage the HTML template feature for importing item information from NetSuite to eBay. For more information see Support for using HTML templates for listing items using the information in NetSuite.

Support for Token-Based Authentication (TBA)

With this release, eBay supports Token Based Authentication (TBA) which uses revocable tokens instead of username and passwords. It is a more secure way of connecting to NetSuite. Another advantage of using it is that unlike passwords that expire after an interval, the Tokens do not expire and can be revoked if required to control access by an application.

As a user, you can choose between basic and token-based authentications at any point in time and update your connection accordingly. Once you have configured your NetSuite Account Credentials using the Basic authentication type, you can go to the Connections option, locate the NetSuite Connection, and click the Edit icon. The connection page is displayed. From this page, select the Authentication type value as Token and enter the required information. For more information see, How to change NetSuite Connection from Basic to Token?

Support for eBay motor category

Prior to this enhancement the Motor category was not supported for importing items from NetSuite to eBay as the way item information is received from the connector for items belonging to the Motors category is different from items belonging to other categories. In order to support selling in the Motor category, the following changes have been made in NetSuite:

  • The IS EBAY MOTORS checkbox has been added to the Celigo eBay Item Category record

  • The additional parameter has been introduced to identify eBay motor item in the item saved search

For more information see Support for listing items in the eBay motor category.

Release notes v1.3.0, July 2017

What's new

Support for linking existing eBay listings with NetSuite Items

Added a new data flow, eBay Item ID to NetSuite Mass Update flow in the Inventory section, to mass update Listing IDs associated with SKUs from eBay into NetSuite. Flow can be scheduled or run on-demand to mass import the eBay Listing Ids in NetSuite required for keeping the Inventory levels in sync between eBay and NetSuite. For more information on this enhancement, see Inventory.

Support the GST/VAT tax during Order Import and Pricing Export

A new field, GST/VAT rate, has been added in the General Section that allows you specify the GST/VAT value to be used for deducting tax from the order during order sync and adding tax to the item price during pricing and item sync.

You can use this feature for order, product, and pricing flow as follows:

  • Enable the Deduct GST/VAT from order total checkbox in the General tab of Advanced Settings of the Order section to control if GST/VAT should be deducted from the order total before it is added to NetSuite.

  • Enable the Add GST/VAT to item price checkbox in Advanced Settings of the Pricing and Product section to control if GST/VAT should be added to the item price when you import an item from NetSuite into eBay.

For more information on this enhancement, see Handling GST during Order Import and Pricing Export.
