Set up a connection to Mercado Libre

Mercado Libre is the largest e-commerce and payments ecosystem in Latin America, and provides easier ways to pay and sell to democratize commerce and payments in the region.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection * 

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

API type * 

Choose your Mercado Libre account API type:

  • Mercado Libre: Connect to the Mercado Libre marketplace to create and manage listings, inventory, orders, payments, shipping, and buyer communications.

  • Global Selling: Manage cross-border selling by publishing international listings, syncing global inventory, setting localized pricing, and handling international logistics.

API type: Mercado Libre 

OAuth 2.0 client * 

Select the OAuth 2.0 client that stores the client ID and client secret provided to you by Mercado Libre.

To add an OAuth 2.0 client and configure your credentials, click the plus ( + ) button. Click the edit ( pencil.svg ) button to modify a selected OAuth 2.0 client. For more information, see Create an OAuth 2.0 iClient resource.

Grant type * 

Select your OAuth 2.0 grant type (either Authorization code, Authorization code with PKCE, or Client credentials).

Region * 

Select your Mercado Libre account region.

API type: Global Selling 

OAuth 2.0 client * 

Select the OAuth 2.0 client that stores the client ID and client secret provided to you by Mercado Libre.

Select your OAuth 2.0 grant type (either Authorization code or Authorization code with PKCE).

Scopes * 

Scopes are OAuth 2.0 permissions that Campaign Monitor defines to limit access to your account.

How to retrieve the client ID and client secret

  1. Sign in to your Mercado Libre developer account.

  2. Click Create new application.

  3. Enter a Name.

  4. Click Continue.

  5. Enter the Celigo integrator.io Redirect URL.

  6. Select the Grant type.

  7. Select the Scopes.

  8. Click Create.

  9. Copy the Application ID (Client ID).

  10. Copy the Client secret.

How to configure the scopes

  1. Click Scope.

  2. To access all of the scopes in the API, click the » button.

    Check the scopes you want to add and click the > button.

  3. Click Save.
