Set up a connection to Attentive

Attentive is a mobile marketing platform that helps businesses engage customers through personalized SMS and messaging campaigns.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection * 

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

API type * 

Choose your Attentive API type:

  • Attentive: Manage authentication, subscribers, attributes, events, eCommerce activity, offers, and real-time updates to power personalized messaging, audience segmentation, and automated marketing workflows.

API version

Select your Attentive API version.

API key * 

Enter your Attentive API key.

Multiple layers of protection are in place, including AES 256 encryption, to keep your connection’s API token safe. When editing this form later, you must enter this token again; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.

How to retrieve the API key

  1. Sign in to your Attentive account.

  2. Navigate to the Integration page.

  3. Click + Create app. For detailed information, see Create custom app.

  4. Enter a Name.

  5. Enter your Email address.

  6. Select the Permissions.

  7. Click Create.

  8. Copy the API key.
