The sales manager of an eCommerce manufacturer must ensure that the new orders from Amazon as sales orders to SAP Business ByDesign. The approved orders are later used for fulfillment and invoicing.
Understand the flow
In the Amazon orders (MFN) to SAP Business ByDesign sales order (add) flow, the Get MFN orders from Amazon export get the new Amazon MFN orders on a scheduled basis created after the last flow run. The Lookup for SAP Business ByDesign sales order and Lookup for MFN order items in the Amazon flow step finds the corresponding order in SAP Business ByDesign with order ID.
- If an order is found in SAP Business ByDesign, the flow ignores the respective order record. The ignore count is specified on the integration.io Dashboard.
- If an order is not found in SAP Business ByDesign, the flow creates a sales order with default status configured in your SAP Business ByDesign account. The success count is specified on the integration.io Dashboard.
- If the flow fails to create an order, an error message is displayed on the integration.io Dashboard.
The Lookup for MFN order items in Amazon flow steps looks for the corresponding order line items in Amazon. The Lookup for SAP Business ByDesign customer looks for the customer record. If a customer is present on the Amazon order, the flow looks for the customer with email, and the same is considered. If the customer doesn’t exist, the flow displays an error message. The Lookup for MFN order amounts from SAP Business ByDesign looks for the sales order and compares the order amounts in Amazon and SAP Business ByDesign. The Update the MFN sales order in SAP Business ByDesign import syncs the variance to the SAP Business ByDesign sales order. This is a scheduled-delta flow.
Note: The recommended batch size for the Amazon orders (MFN) to SAP Business ByDesign sales order (add) flow is 1.
Configure the flow settings
- Log in to your integrator.io account
- Click on the Amazon - SAP Business ByDesign integration app tile.
- Go to Settings > Order (MFN).
- In the Sync sales tax to SAP Business ByDesign as* setting, choose an option to sync sales tax to SAP Business ByDesign. Specify your preference for mapping tax totals between SAP Business ByDesign and Amazon. You can either choose,
- Add total tax against a single line item on the order: Choose this option to sync the total against a single service line item on the SAP Business ByDesign sales order. OR
- SAP Business ByDesign calculates taxes using its own tax engine: Choose this option for SAP Business ByDesign to calculate the taxes using its native tax engine based on the tax code and tax rate specified for an item.
- In the Sync sales tax to SAP Business ByDesign as* setting, if you choose the Add total tax against a single line item on the order option, in the Select SAP Business ByDesign item to track Amazon order taxes as a line item setting, choose an SAP Business ByDesign tax item to track your Amazon order total sales tax. The selected item is added as a line item on the SAP Business ByDesign sales order.
- Check the Exclude tax if Marketplace Tax Collection applies check box to avoid tax collection if you don’t want to bring the tax details to the SAP Business ByDesign sales order for the regions where Amazon collects and remits taxes on your behalf.
- In the Select SAP Business ByDesign default item to track gift amounts setting, choose an SAP Business ByDesign gift item to track the gift-related amounts. The selected item is added as a separate line item on the SAP Business ByDesign sales order.
- In the Select SAP Business ByDesign sales unit setting, choose the internal ID of the sales unit to be assigned to the SAP Business ByDesign sales orders. Based on the selected sales unit, we get the payment method. The sales unit is used while assigning the payment method.
- Click Save.
Run the flow
Prerequisite: The items must be in sync in the Amazon and SAP Business ByDesign accounts.
- Go Flows > Order.
- Next to the Amazon order to SAP Business ByDesign sales order (add) flow, use the toggle button to enable the flow.
- If you run the flow for the first time, a delta flow pop-up window is displayed. This helps you to sync the historical orders.
- Automatic: Choose this option to process and sync data from the last flow run time OR
- Custom: Choose this option to select a custom start date and time from when you wish to process and sync data.
- Click Run.
You can see the flow status in the integrator.io Dashboard.

Understand the SAP Business ByDesign and Amazon order records

In the below image, you can find the Amazon MFN order body-level details.

The Amazon order to SAP Business ByDesign sales order (add) flow syncs details such as eTail channel, eTail order ID, eTail store name, eTail store ID, and variance details in the respective custom fields, as shown in the below image.

In the below image, you can find the line-level details such as order line items, product name, description, and each line item quantity.
