Salesforce - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central integration app overview

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that ensures business continuity with a cloud solution that connects sales, service, finance, and operations teams to help them adapt faster and deliver results. This can all be performed with a standard REST API in JSON format. This template allows you to connect Salesforce to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and manage your customers and sales orders.

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – Salesforce integration app contains integration flows to automate processes for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central customers who are transferring Salesforce accounts to Business Central customers or transferring Salesforce opportunities to Business Central sales orders. After installing and configuring the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – Salesforce template, you can enable only those flows needed for your business requirements.

Supported integration flows

The Celigo quickstart bundle contains workflows that you can easily configure and deploy without coding or IT support. The following built-in flows sync from the specified source data to the corresponding destination.

• Salesforce accounts to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central customer (add or update): Syncs records present in Salesforce accounts as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central customers in real-time. This flow triggers automatically when you update an account in Salesforce. This flow will not sync a new account as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central customers by default. If you want to create a customer in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Salesforce, you must first run the Salesforce opportunity to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central sales order (add or update) flow. 
• Salesforce contact to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central contact (add or update): Syncs records present in Salesforce contacts as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central contacts. This flow performs real-time updates to existing contacts in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and adds new ones. This flow triggers automatically when you update an existing contact or create a contact for an account if the account is already synced as a customer to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Salesforce opportunity to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central sales order (add or update): Sync your Salesforce opportunity to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central sales order in real-time. The flow automatically checks for customer records for a new sales order in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. If the flow does not find any records, it creates customers in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The flow will use the account details to create a customer.
