Customer Import - International Phone Numbers

Hi, 

 

I've tried searching for a result on this issue. We are migrating to Shopify and having some issues with importing customers due to phone number problems. We have thousands of international customers (we're based in the US). These customers are returning with an error of:

{"errors":{"phone":["Enter a valid phone number to use this delivery method"]}}

Is there a way to specify the country code in the customer import mapping for these customers? 

Or is there another way to deal with international phone numbers?

    There seems to be an validation rule placed in your destined system which is leading to this error.
    The Integration Application can bring over any countries phone numbers its more about what the destined system is expecting.

    So I would recommend you to verify the rules placed in your targeted system. That will help you understand what's missing in the data.

  • I'm not sure why you would receive an error related to delivery method on a customer import. Delivery/shipping would be set at the order level. Maybe you have some custom validation on the NetSuite side causing this? Address phone number isn't a required field natively nor does this type of validation happen. I think it just has to be 7+ digits in length.
