ADP Employee record to NetSuite Employee/User - Password is required to save employee record
In the sync of data from ADP employee record to an existing NetSuite employee that has NetSuite access, you could receive the following error if the email in the payload is different from the one in NetSuite record.
Error code: pswd_reqd
Error message: Failed to save record because You must provide a password to give this person access to your account.
Explanation of the error:
- This occurs for employee records with NetSuite access, their record would have the "Give Access" checkbox = true under Access subtab.
- The NetSuite user logs in to NetSuite using the email address in the Email field within the record, which they would have a password for as well.
- For an Import step Add/Update, when Integrator attempts to 'Update' the existing NetSuite record with data from ADP, and the email address field is listed within the mappings of your payload, you'll need to make sure the email address in the payload matches the email listed in the NetSuite record
- If the email address in the payload doesn't match with the email in the NetSuite record, it would throw the error because there's no listed password for the newly supplied email.
Recommended Actions:
- Streamline the login email password for NetSuite to be the one listed in their ADP record
- Use the corporate email as their login email for NetSuite and add the corporate email field from ADP in the mappings
- Optional: remove the email field from the mappings and you shouldn't receive this error anymore
