Has anyone got branch merging to work?

When I run a flow that has merged branches every time the job gets held up in 'In Progress' for at least 4 hours, with zero remaining records to process. Is this how this is supposed to work? It's really unhandy for flows that I would like to run frequently.

Consider the below poc flow that has branches A B and C. Branches B and C merge back into the same flow for the last two steps. These two steps always get stuck in 'In progress', waiting for potential records to be passed to them. If I remove the merge and copy the last two steps to the bottom branch it completes immediately.

  Hi Bas van Ditzhuijzen, 
  This issue is happening when all the page processors before, during, and after branching are on the same connection and the fix for this issue is already in place, It would be available for you in the January release. 
  
  As a workaround, Can you please create a duplicate connection and assign the created duplicate connection to the next import after merging the branches which should resolve the issue.
  
  Use the duplicate connection on the following import steps:

  • BD Outbranch Lookup
  • BC POST outbranch
