BigCOmmerce to NetSuite integration sales tax

I'm using the BigCommerce to NetSuite integration for our webstore and I've selected the option "NetSuite calculate taxes using its own tax engine" to bring the sales tax into Netsuite.  My question is, when a customer is creating a order with BigCommerce how do the taxes get input into the BigCommerce?  Does it happen realtime during the order process through the integration?  They would need to know all the charges before they make the payment.

    restorative therapies NetSuite Native tax engine will do the tax calculation and we are not making any changes from our end. We recommend following the instructions in the document.
