Have an option on each step of a flow that allows ensuring a step runs only after the previous has finished

I have the very same problem as the user below

I have children lines to collect before exporting my parent data. Sometimes, the next step runs before I hae collected all the children data and all my export is to be done again. The workarounds suggested here are surprisingly complicated.
