Sync Prospects between NetSuite and Salesforce

How do you handle syncing an account from Salesforce to NetSuite that hasn't purchased anything yet?  By default, it syncs to NetSuite as a 'Customer' record, but generally we only set the stage/status to Customer once a Sales Order is created.  We were trying to sync the Type field of Salesforce (Prospect) to a Status of Prospect under the Customer stage, but this doesn't seem to work if the Type field in Salesforce is not filled out.  Ideally, we'd be able to sync them as Prospects, but I'm told that is a different record type in NetSuite and the sync can only use one record type.

Yes, prospect is a different record type in NetSuite, and the Salesforce Account to NetSuite Customer flow in Salesforce - NetSuite (IO) integration application syncs to customer record type.

You can sync an account in Salesforce to Prospect record by building a flow on Celigo integrator.io platform.
We will also add this to our integration templates for Salesforce - NetSuite.
