FAQ: Do integrator.io TBA tokens use the HMAC-SHA256 signature method (as required by NetSuite 2023.1)?
Q. NetSuite has notified me that token-based authentication (TBA) that uses HMAC-SHA1 as a signature method will be deprecated for NetSuite version 2023.1. Do Celigo integrator.io TBA tokens use HMAC-SHA256 as the signature method?
A. Yes, Celigo integrator.io uses HMAC-SHA256 for our TBA tokens for any connections built in integrator.io, including in any Integration Apps, so you should not be affected by this change.
However, you may have HMAC-SHA1 tokens that belong to other vendors, so you can check with NetSuite support to determine which vendors need to provide you with an updated solution, then you must update your integration's authorization header to HMAC-SHA256. If you're using a library for signing, you should verify whether your library supports HMAC-SHA256 and update it to use this new signature method. If it doesn't support HMAC-SHA256, use a different library that does.
