Create NetSuite Item Fulfillments for Kit Items with Serial Numbers

Hi All,

I spent quite some time now trying to create NetSuite item fulfillments for sales orders that contain kit items, which in turn contain inventory items that are serial number enabled.

The problem is that on the item fulfillment screen, the kit items are being listed as stand-alone lines and then the components are listed on the next lines, where the inventory detail needs to be defined. 

Any assistance regarding the mapping is highly appreciated, here's a screenshot:

  Sorry for the delay.

  Could you tell us, if you are including “member items” along with kit items in the sample data?

  If possible, could you share the sample data that you used for importing "item fulfillment" records?

  Hi Milcho,

  We have provision of adding Inventory Detail sub-record mapping for "item fulfillment" record which facilitates serial/bin number mapping. Item fulfillment for Kit/Package item with Serial Numbers are a bit tricky. Once we know the sample data we can guide more accurately.

  In the meantime I was able to implement the scenario by using a NetSuite UE script, which will add the respective serial numbers.

  Did you ever resolve this and if so I'd be interested to know how? Posting a solution instead of a dead-end would be appreciated, especially when Google search results come to these kinds of results as apparent "answers".
  
  We're facing a similar issue to the screenshot you provided, though in our case our items aren't serialized, we're attempting to fulfill items after an initial IR is generated to receipt the stock in.

  We're then finding that after receipting the stock in the automatic system of Netsuite, because it doesn't include the original "kit SKU" doesn't pass back enough information on their purchase orders to facilitate fulfillment (given we're only receiving back a list of member items and the PO doesn't have the kit SKU anywhere, only the member items).

  

  On individual Inventory Items our Item Fulfillments work great and there's no issues, though kits are presently not functional:

  

  Our transform of the data coming in for IFs, works well, so how would be adapt it to work for kits as well, which seem to have yet another layer?

  We also have issue on the kit items. It seems like in the backend the components of the kits are not automatically marked as recieved. Hopefully we have a resolution for this one.
