How to filter a field which is not available in fields drop down

I need to filter a field which is not available in drop down. I tried changing the field type to value and added the field as below but it's not working. Is writing a JS code only solution or can it be handled easily and if the dynamic field is of an array field, how to reference the exact record value in the array because if I use a loop it might take the last record value in the array all the time

  It is really easy to add new fields to the dropdown by simply typing them in the "Input" panel on the right hand side first.  See pic below.  I admit it is not intuitive to do this, but it is easy once someone tells you about it!  We will eventually improve this UX.
