A Value-Added Network (VAN) is a secure service that facilitates electronic data interchange (EDI) between organizations. Celigo uses VAN service through ECGrid, which can be configured in integrator.io for inbound and outbound EDI flows. A one-time configuration is required to connect the integrator.io account to ECGrid. Once connected, use ECGrid to establish connections to different trading partners such as other VANs, trading partners, service providers, and e-commerce gateways.
Note
To connect to VAN, you must have a valid B2B Manager subscription.
-
Sign in to your integrator.io account.
-
On the My integrations page,
-
Click Create > Connection. OR
-
From the left menu, click Connections, and click + Create connection at the top right.
-
-
In the Application field, enter VAN.
-
From the Universal connectors list, select VAN (Value-added Network).
-
By default, all fields are disabled on the Create connection page. To create a connection to the VAN connector, click Request access.
-
On the Request access to VAN connector pane, click Submit request. An email is sent to the Celigo team to initiate the request.
Once your request is validated, you can create a VAN connection.
After your request is validated, you can connect to the VAN connector.
Start establishing a connection to VAN in either of the following ways:
-
From the left menu, navigate to Resources > Connections. Then, click + Create connection at the top right.
-
In the Application field, enter VAN; in the resulting application list, select VAN (Value-added network).
-
The Create connection pane opens with the required settings.
Name (required): Provide a clear and distinguishable name. Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection, and a unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting among a list of connections that you’ve created.
Application (required, non-editable): A reminder of the app you’re editing.
Configuring routing for shared connections:
Routing rules editor: Define the rules that integrator.io will use to send messages from your trading partners to the right flow. Script-based routing rules determine the way inbound files received are sent to the correct flows. Click Launch. For more information, refer to the Understand the content-based routing (CBR) rules section in Understand content-based routing for AS2 connections.
-
Once you have configured the connection, you have a few options for continuing:
-
Save: Click to test the connection, and commit the new connection so that it will be available to all integrations for your account
-
Save & close: Click to test and save the connection and exit the Create connection pane
-
Close: Click to exit the window
-
Important
Important: In integrator.io, you can configure only one VAN connection in production and sandbox environments. An error message is displayed if you try to create another VAN connection and click Save.
After creating a connection, send an email with the Profile Name, Email ID, Company Name details to VANsetup@celigo.com requesting access to the VAN (Value-Added Network) service portal (ECGrid). You can find the details at Account > Profile. For more info, see Manage your profile.
Before you can add another VAN connection, you must remove the existing VAN connection, which requires deleting the import, export, and flows that reference the VAN connection.
In the future, if you wish to delete your existing VAN connection:
-
Sign in to your integrator.io account
-
From the left menu, go to Resources > Connections.
-
On the Connections page, search for the VAN connection.
-
In the Actions column, click to expand.
-
From the options, select Delete connection.
Note
After you delete the existing VAN connection, you can create another VAN connection.
