Set up a connection to Salsifys

Salsify is a comprehensive solution provider that allows customers to take control of their digital shelves.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection * 

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

API type * 

Choose your Salsify account API type:

  • Salsify V1: Access core Salsify platform capabilities using the original REST endpoints for legacy integrations.

  • Salsify: Manage product content, digital assets, syndication, and workflows using the current REST APIs.

  • SXM: Deliver and manage rich product experiences across channels using Salsify Experience Manager APIs.

Organization ID * 

Enter your organization ID.

For example, if your Salsify account is located at https://app.salsify.com/app/orgs/s-a3326-0ac-4de-972-c436063303cf/productsthen s-a3326-0ac-4de-972-c436063303cfis the organization ID.

Auth type *

Select your Salsofy account authentication type (Token or OAuth 2.0).

Auth type: Token

API key * 

Enter your Salsify API key.

Multiple layers of protection, including AES 256 encryption, are in place to keep your API key safe. When editing this connection, you must re-enter this value each time; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.

Auth type: OAuth 2.0

OAuth 2.0 client * 

Select the OAuth 2.0 client that stores the client ID and client secret provided to you by Salsify. For more information, see Create an OAuth Application.

To add an OAuth 2.0 client and configure your credentials, click the plus (+) button. Click the edit (pencil.svg ) button to modify a selected OAuth 2.0 client. For more information, see Create an OAuth 2.0 iClient resource

How to retrieve API key

  1. Sign in to your Salsify developer account.

  2. Navigate to My profile > API access.

  3. Click Show API key. The Get API key window appears.

  4. Enter your Password

  5. Click Ok.

  6. Copy the API key.

How to retrieve the client ID and client secret (SXM)

  1. Sign in to your Salsify SXM account.

  2. Navigate to ProfileAPI credentials.

  3. Click Create new API credentials.

  4. Enter a Name.

  5. Click Create.

  6. Copy the Client ID.

  7. Copy the Client secret.
