Set up a connection to Collibra

Set up a connection

After you start the connection , configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection * 

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

API type * 

Choose your Collibra account API type:

  • Search : Get search engine details

  • Data governance center core : Get users, assets, domains, or trigger workflow details

  • Catalog : Get metadata ingestion, profiling, external cloud system, and catalog details

  • Catalog database registration : Get metadata ingestion and profiling details

  • Import : Get create and update data details

  • Assessments : Get conducted assessment or new assessment details

  • Protect : Get data access rule details

  • Catalog sampling : Get Edge data source details

Domain * 

Enter your Collibra account domain. For example, if your account URL is https://test-drive.collibra.com, then

test-drive.collibra.com is your domain.

Username * 

Enter your Collibra account username provided in the welcome email.

Password * 

Enter your Collibra account username provided in the welcome email. Multiple layers of protection, including AES 256 encryption, are in place to keep your password safe. When editing this connection, you must re-enter this value each time; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.

Asset ID * 

(applicable only for Collibra catalog sampling API type)

Enter your Collibra asset ID.

How to retrieve the asset ID

 

  1. Sign in to your Collibra developer console.

  2. Navigate to Menu > Settings > Operating model > Asset types.

  3. Identify the required asset and copy the respective Resource ID .
