Set up a connection to Paycom

Paycom offers online payroll services and HR software solutions for businesses to manage the entire employment life cycle.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection *

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

API version *

Select your Paycom account API version ( v1 , v1.1 , or v1.2).

Data center *

Select your Paycom account Data center base URL:

  • DFW: If your base URL is https://api.paycomdfw.net/v4/rest/index.php

  • OKC: If your base URL is https://api.paycomonline.net/v4/rest/index.php/

  • PHX: If your base URL is https://api.phx.us-west.paycomonline.net/v4/rest/index.php/

  • Public: If your base URL is https://www.paycomonline.net/v4/rest/index.php/api/:_version

SID*

Enter your Paycom SID.

Multiple layers of protection are in place, including AES 256 encryption, to keep your connection’s SID safe. When editing this form later, you must enter this token again; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.

API token *

Enter your Paycom API token.

Category code *

Enter your Paycom account category code.

Detail code *

Enter your Paycom account detail code.

How to retrieve the SID and API token

  1. Sign in to your Paycom account.

  2. Navigate to Source > Main data source.

  3. Copy the SID.

  4. Copy the API token.
