Set up a connection to Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot)

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement is a specialized feature that allows businesses to track and engage with individual accounts within their customer base by providing personalized content and interactions.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection * 

Enter a clear and distinguishable name. Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

Account type * 

Select your Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement account type:

  • Production : if your account URL is pi.pardot.com

  • Sandbox : if your account URL is pi.demo.pardot.com

OAuth 2.0 client *  

Select the OAuth 2.0 client that stores the client ID and client secret provided by Salesforce.

To add an OAuth 2.0 client and configure your credentials, click the plus (+) button. Click the edit ( pencil.svg ) button to modify a selected OAuth 2.0 client. For more information, see Create an OAuth 2.0 iClient resource.

Scopes * 

Scopes are OAuth 2.0 permissions that Salesforce defines to limit access to your account.

How to retrieve the client ID and client secret

  1. Sign in to your Salesforce admin account.

  2. Navigate to Salesforce setup > App manager. For detailed information, see  Create the connected app.

  3. Select the connected app and click View.

  4. Copy the Consumer key (client ID).

  5. Copy the Consumer secret (client secret).

In Redirect URL , copy and paste the URI mentioned below depending on your instance:

  • For NA: paste https://integrator.io/connection/oauth2callback

  • For EU: paste https://eu․integrator.io/connection/oauth2callback

How to configure scopes

  1. Click Scope.

  2. To access all of the scopes in the API, click the » button.

    – or – 

    Check the scopes you want to add and click the > button.

  3. Click Save.
