Set up a connection to Credly

Credly is a leading digital credentialing platform that enables organizations to recognize and validate individuals' skills and achievements through digital badges and certifications.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection *

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

Environment *

Choose your Credly account environment:

  • Production: if your account URL is https://api.credly.com.

  • Sandbox: if your account URL is https://sandbox-api.credly.com.

Auth type *

Select your Credly authentication type (either Custom or OAuth 2.0).

Client ID *

Enter your Credly client ID provided by the Credly product support team. For more information, see Authentication

Client secret *

Enter your Credly client secret provided by the Credly product support team. For more information, see Authentication

Multiple layers of protection, including AES 256 encryption, are in place to keep your client secret safe. When editing this connection, you must re-enter this value each time; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.

Auth type: Custom

Authorization token *

Enter your Credly authorization token.

How to retrieve the authorization token

  1. Sign in to your Credly account. 

  2. Navigate to Organization > Developers > Authorizationtokens.

  3. Click Add Token.

  4. Enter a Name and click Save.

  5. Copy the Authorization token.
