Set up a connection to Zebra Printers

Zebra Printers are specialized devices manufactured by Zebra Technologies, widely used in logistics, retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and other sectors where there is a need to generate labels or identification marks quickly and accurately.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required *authentication settings:

Name your connection * 

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

API type * 

Choose your Zebra Printers account API type:

  • Asset ownership service: Get the Zebra data services enrolled device details

  • Barcode generator: Get the 1D or 2D printed or scanned barcode image details

  • Electronic temperature sensors: Get product stability, effectiveness, and quality maintaining workflow details

  • Send file to printer: Get Zebra link-OD printer file details

  • Tenant service: Get tenant access details

  • VisibilityIQ: Get fleet optimization and operation details

Environment * (only for Asset ownership service and Send file to printer API types)

Select your Zebra Printer environment.

  • Development: if your account URL is https://dev-api.zebra.com/v2/aos.

  • Loadtest:  if your account URL is https://perf-api.zebra.com/v2/aos.

  • Production:  if your account URL is https://api.zebra.com/v2/aos.

  • Staging:  if your account URL is https://stage-api.zebra.com/v2/aos.

  • Test: if your account URL is https://test-api1.zebra.com/v2/aos.

Token * 

Enter your Zebra Printer token.

Multiple layers of protection, including AES 256 encryption, are in place to keep your token safe. When editing this connection, you must re-enter this value each time; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.

How to retrieve the token 

Tenant * 

Enter your Zebra Printer tenant account number.

Region * (Only for VisibilityIQ API type)

Select your Zebra Printer account region.

  • Europe:  if your account URL is https://api.zebra.com/v2/eu/data/.

  • United States: if your account URL is https://api.zebra.com/v2/data/.

Company name * (Only for VisibilityIQ API type)

Enter your Zebra Printer company name.

Partner name * (Only for VisibilityIQ API type)

Enter your Zebra Printer partner name.

How to retrieve the token

  1. Sign in to your Zebra developer account.

  2. Navigate to My data services > Apps > My apps.

  3. Click Create App +.

  4. Enter an App name.

  5. Enter the Celigo integrator.io Callback URL.

  6. Select APIs.

  7. Click Add app.

  8. Copy the Consumer key (Token).

How to retrieve the tenant account number

  1. Sign in to your Zebra developer account.

  2. Navigate to Tenant service API > View details > Servers.

  3. Click Authorize.

  4. In APIKeyAuth, enter the Consumer key and click Authorize.

  5. Click Close.

  6. Expand My tenant and click Try it out.

  7. Click Execute.

  8. From the Response body, copy the Account number.
