As a Shopify merchant, you must keep your Shopify products in sync with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central items so that any updates made to the products are automatically reflected in Shopify. This lets you reduce errors related to product specifications across different product types.
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central items to Shopify products (add or update) flow syncs items from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to Shopify as products. When an item(s) is added/updated to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, the flow exports the item information from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to Shopify. This is a delta flow that works on a scheduled basis.
Prerequisite
Make sure the Celigo eTail account is configured in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Copy the store id from the integrator.io URL (i.e. abc123 from https://integrator.io/integrationapps/ShopifyMicrosoftDynamics365BusinessCentral/123/child/abc123/flows/sections/def456), and paste it into the Celigo eTail account id field, and provide the store name configured in the tile.
Understand the flow
In the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central items to Shopify products (add or update) flow, the Get items from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central export gets the items from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central since the last flow run.
While creating or updating the records, the flow validates if the record has an eTail product ID. The Lookup for product ID in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central lookup finds the corresponding eTail product ID in the Celigo eTail item ID map record in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
The Post products to Shopify import creates or updates the products to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
-
If an eTail product ID is found in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, the flow updates the existing product record.
-
If the eTail product ID is not found in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, the flow creates a product record. The success count is specified on the integration.io Dashboard.
-
If the flow fails to create a product, an error message is displayed on the integration.io Dashboard.
The Post Celigo eTail item ID map to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central import creates Celigo eTail item ID map records in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, for the new records and ignores the existing records.
