Set up a connection to Deputy

Deputy is a workforce management and scheduling software that helps businesses streamline employee scheduling, time tracking, and compliance.

Set up a connection

This video demonstrates creating a Deputy connection.

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection * 

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

Subdomain * 

Enter your Deputy account subdomain. For example, if your URL is https://0c90f322103712.na.deputy.com, then 0c90f322103712 is your subdomain.

API version  

Select your Deputy account API version (either v1 or v2).

Region * 

Select your Deputy account region:

  • Australia: If your account URL is https://test.au.deputy.com

  • Europe: If your account URL is https://test.eu.deputy.com

  • United Kingdom: If your account URL is https://test.uk.deputy.com

  • United States: If your account URL is https://test.na.deputy.com

OAuth 2.0 client * 

Select the OAuth 2.0 client that stores the client ID and client secret provided to you by Deputy.

How to retrieve the client ID and client secret 

To add an OAuth 2.0 client and configure your credentials, click the plus (+) button. Click the edit ( pencil.svg ) button to modify a selected OAuth 2.0 client. For more information, see Create an OAuth 2.0 iClient resource.

How to retrieve the client ID and client secret

  1. Sign in to your Deputy account.

  2. Click New OAuth client.

  3. Enter an App name.

  4. Enter the Description and Logo URL.

  5. Enter the Celigo Redirect URL.

  6. Click Save this OAuth client.

  7. Copy the Client ID.

  8. Copy the Client secret.

Save and authorize

  1. Click Save and authorize to commit your changes and proceed to sign in with Deputy.

  2. After signing in, review the permissions for the integration and click Accept.
