Set up a connection to Bynder

Bynder is a digital asset management (DAM) platform that helps businesses organize, store, and share brand assets efficiently.

Set up a connection

This video demonstrates creating a Bynder connection.

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection * 

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

Subdomain * 

Enter your Bynder account subdomain. For example, if your Bynder account URL is https://celigo-sandbox.bynder.com/account/, then celigo-sandbox.bynder.comis the subdomain.

OAuth 2.0 client *  

Select the OAuth 2.0 client that stores the client ID and client secret provided to you by Bynder.

How to configure the grant type, client ID, and client secret 

To add an OAuth 2.0 client and configure your credentials, click the plus (+) button. Click the edit ( pencil.svg ) button to modify a selected OAuth 2.0 client. For more information, seeCreate an OAuth 2.0 iClient resource.

Scopes 

Scopes are OAuth 2.0 permissions that Bynder defines to limit access to your account.

How to configure the grant type, client ID, and client secret

  1. Sign in to your Bynder account.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Advanced settings > Portal settings

  3. Click OAuth Apps.

  4. Click Add new app. For detailed information, see OAuth 2.0 apps

  5. Provide an Application name and Description.

  6. Select the Grant type.

  7. Enter the Redirect URL.

  8. Select Scopes.

  9. Click Register application.

  10. Copy the Client ID.

  11. Copy the Client secret.

How to configure scopes

  1. Click Scope.

  2. To access all of the scopes in the API, click the » button.

    Check the scopes you want to add and click the > button.

  3. Click Save.
