List items in a subcategory

You can create an eBay subcategory and list your items below it using the unique category ID that eBay provides. For more information about the category ID, contact eBay or refer to All Categories.

Understand eBay item categories

The following table shows an example of category and subcategory in eBay. To create an eBay category item, a similar name and category ID format is used in NetSuite.

Note: For more information about category IDs, refer to All Categories.

Create your item subcategory

You can find the category ID in the URL of the All Categories page.

1. In NetSuite, open the appropriate eBay item.
2. Click the eTail tab.
3. Under the eTail tab, click the eBay tab.
4. To the right of  EBAY CATEGORY - PRIMARY, click +.
5. In the “eBay Item Category” window, enter Name. Example: Electronics > Cameras > Digital Cameras.
6. In the Category ID field, enter the unique ID. Example: 12345.
   Note: The category ID is a unique ID and is internal to eBay. For more information about the category ID, contact eBay or refer to All Categories.

   Tips:

   • If you do not want a category to be active, you can check Inactive.
   • If you want to the item listed below Ebay Motors, check Is EBAY Motors.
7. Click Save.
   

List your item in a subcategory

1. Open the appropriate eBay item.
2. Click the eTail tab.
3. Under the eTail tab, click the eBay tab.
4. In ETAIL CHANNEL, select eBay.
5. In EBAY ACCOUNT, select an appropriate eBay account.
6. In EBAY CATEGORY - PRIMARY, select your category from the list or create one.

7. Click Save.
8. In integrator.io, click eBay-NetSuite Integration App.
9. Go to Settings > Integration Flows > Product.
10. Go to Advanced Settings.
11. Click General.
12. From the NetSuite saved search for syncing items drop-down list, select the appropriate saved search.
13. Click the Field Mappings icon next to the "NetSuite Item to eBay Item Add/Update" flow.
14. Check if the "PrimaryCategory.CategoryID" field is mapped to the appropriate EBAY CATEGORY - PRIMARY NetSuite field.
    Note: You must enter the NetSuite custom field name (from step 6) that you used for storing the Item Category.
    
15. Click Save.
16. Run the "NetSuite Item to eBay Item Add/Update" flow.

In eBay, the appropriate item is listed below the selected subcategory.
