Set up a connection to Pitney Bowes

Pitney Bowes is a global shipping and mailing company that provides technology, logistics, and financial services, powering billions of transactions worldwide.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection * 

Enter a clear and distinguishable name. Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

API type *

Choose your Pitney Bowes API type:

  • Shipping: Create shipments, print labels, track packages, and manage returns to integrate core shipping functions into your e-commerce or logistics platform

  • SendPro 360/Shipping 360 Platform: Streamline domestic and international shipping with enterprise-grade control, visibility, and compliance support

API type: Shipping

Environment * 

Select your Pitney Bowes environment:

API key * 

Enter your Pitney Bowes API key.

API secret * 

Enter your Pitney Bowes API secret.

Multiple layers of protection are in place, including AES 256 encryption, to keep your connection’s API secret safe. When editing this form later, you must enter this token again; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.

Environment *

Select your Pitney Bowes environment: 

  • Production: if your account URL is https://api.sendpro360.pitneybowes.com

  • Sandbox: if your account URL is https://api-sandbox.sendpro360.pitneybowes.com

Client ID *

Enter your Pitney Bowes client ID.

Client secret *

Enter your Pitney Bowes client secret.

How to retrieve the API key and API secret

  1. Sign in to your Pitney Bowes account.

  2. Navigate to API keys.

  3. Copy the required API key and API secret, depending on the environment you’re connecting to.

Note

If you want to regenerate the API key and secret, email the Pitney Bowes support team.

How to retrieve the client ID and client secret

  1. Sign in to your Pitney Bowes developer account.

  2. Navigate to ShippingAPIAPI keys.

  3. In the Sandbox key/Production key, click + Generate key, depending on the environment you’re connecting to.

  4. Copy the Client ID.

  5. Copy the Client secret.
