ShipBob documentation: API Guide, Authentication
1. Set up a ShipBob connection
Start establishing a connection to ShipBob in either of the following ways:
- From the Resources menu, select Connections. Then, click + Create connection at the top right.
– or – - While working in a new or existing integration, you can add an application to a flow simply by clicking Add source or Add destination/lookup.
In the resulting Application list, click ShipBob.

The Create connection pane then asks you to name the new connection.

Be sure to provide a clear and distinguishable Name as soon as the connection is created. Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection, and a unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting among a list of connections that you’ve created.
Click Next to configure the connection.
2. Specify ShipBob scopes
At this point, you’re presented with a single required setting for ShipBob authentication.

Configure scopes (required): Scopes are permissions that the ShipBob API defines to limit the access to your account. To select the scopes for this connection,
- Click the Configure scopes button.
- To access all of the scopes in the API, click the » button.
– or –
Check the scopes you want to add, and click the > button. - Click Save when you’re ready to leave the editor and finish setting up your connection.

3. Edit advanced ShipBob settings
Before continuing, you have the opportunity to provide additional configuration information, if needed, for the ShipBob connection.

Borrow concurrency from (optional): Select another connection from the list....
Concurrency level (optional): Up to 25 allowed....
4. Save and authorize
Once you have configured the ShipBob connection, you have a couple options for continuing:
- Save & authorize – click this button to test the connection, commit the new connection so that it will be available to all integrations for your account (and applied to the current source or destination app, if you created it within a flow)
- Cancel – click to exit without saving any new changes
When you select Save & authorize, you are presented with a ShipBob logon in a new browser window. Log in with your ShipBob account credentials.

If you’ve logged in successfully, the form next asks you to name the integration. Provide a name, and click Integrate.

Finally, ShipBob asks you to review and confirm permissions for the integration. Modify as needed, and click Yes, allow.

The browser window closes, and the new connection is now successfully added to your account. It will be applied to the current source or destination app, if you created it within a flow. Otherwise, you may proceed to register the connection with an integration.

Hi There - Ship Bob has a sandbox environment that uses a more basic token integration. It would be great for this connector to have a Product or Sandbox checkbox and allow the sandbox version to use a token instead of OAuth. We've been working a project with ShipBob and it's very difficult to test in their prod system.
Thanks, David Gollom. I'll put that request into the queue and share your feedback with the product manager and lead connections developer.
