Set up a connection to Anaplan

Anaplan is a cloud-native enterprise planning platform that helps businesses connect data, people, and plans across all departments for faster and smarter decision-making.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection * 

Enter a clear and distinguishable name. (Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection.) A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections that you’ve created.

API type * 

Choose your Anaplan API type:

  • Integration: Import, export, and run Anaplan processes and actions to automate model data synchronization and streamline enterprise data workflows.

  • CloudWorks: Create and schedule integrations between Anaplan and cloud storage platforms like AWS S3, Azure Blob, and Google BigQuery to orchestrate automated, no-code data pipelines.

  • SCIM: Automate provisioning, updating, and deactivating users across domains using the SCIM standard (v2.0), enabling streamlined identity management and integration with systems like Okta or Azure AD. 

  • Audit: Track detailed tenant-level audit events, such as model changes, user activity, and system operations, to feed into SIEM platforms and support governance, compliance, and monitoring workflows.

  • Exception users: Manage exception user access in SSO-enabled environments by granting or revoking the ability to log in via basic authentication.

  • Financial Consolidation: Manage financial data, dimensions, and workflows to automate consolidation processes and streamline reporting through secure, programmatic access.

Auth type * (Only for SCIM API type)

Select your Anaplan authentication type (Token or Basic).

Username * 

Enter your Anaplan account username.

Password * 

Enter your Anaplan account password.

Multiple layers of protection are in place, including AES 256 encryption, to keep your connection’s password safe. When editing this form later, you must enter this value again; it is stored only for a saved connection.

Environment * (Only for Financial Consolidation API type)

Select your Anaplan account environment:

  • Demo: if your account URL is https://fluenceapi-demo.fluence.app

  • Development: if your account URL is https://fluenceapi-dev.fluence.app

  • Production: if your account URL is https://fluenceapi-prod.fluence.app

Token * (Only for Financial Consolidation API type)

Enter your Anaplan token.

How to retrieve the token

Tenant * (Only for Financial Consolidation API type)

Enter your Anaplan tenant ID. For more information, see Authentication.

Tip

  • This connector documentation describes only the settings shown for the Simple view. For the corresponding HTTP settings, see the Token auth universal connector documentation.

  • Use an FTP connector to upload files to Anaplan. If you are sending BLOB files from NetSuite to Anaplan, you can customize your flows based on the NetSuite to FTP template.

How to retrieve the token

  1. Sign in to your Anaplan Financial Consolidation account.

  2. Navigate to Security module > User API token.

  3. Click New API token.

  4. Enter a Description and set an Expiration date.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Copy the Token.
