Set up a connection to Maximo

IBM Maximo is an enterprise asset management (EAM) platform that helps organizations monitor, manage, and maintain physical assets throughout their lifecycle.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection *

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

Mode * 

Choose your Maximo account mode (either Cloud or On-premise).

Subdomain *

Enter your Maximo account subdomain:

  • Cloud: If your Maximo account URL is https://celigo1.maximo.ibmcloud.com/maximo/oslc ,then celigo1.maximo.ibmcloud.com is the subdomain.

  • On-premise: If your Maximo account URL is http://localhost:7001/maximo/oslc, then localhost:7001 is the subdomain.

Agent * 

Choose your Maximo account agent. For more information, see Install the agent.

Username * 

Enter your Maximo account username.

Password * 

Enter your Maximo account password.

Multiple layers of protection, including AES 256 encryption, are in place to keep your password safe. When editing this connection, you must re-enter this value each time; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.

API key * 

Enter your Maximo API key.

How to retrieve the API key 

Public URL * 

Enter your Maximo public URL.

How to retrieve the API key

  1. Sign in to your Maximo account.

  2. Click Create API key.

  3. Enter a Description.

  4. Enter an Authentication token expiry.

  5. Select the applicable Permissions.

  6. Click Submit.

  7. Copy the API key.
