Discourse is an open-source discussion platform designed for building vibrant online communities through forums, Q&A, and long-form conversations.

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Enter a clear and distinguishable name. Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account. |

Enter your Discourse account subdomain. For example, if your Discourse account URL is |
API username * |
Enter your Discourse API username. |
API key * |
Enter your Discourse API key. Multiple layers of protection, including AES 256 encryption, are in place to keep your key safe. When editing this connection, you must re-enter this value each time; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text. |

Sign in to your Discourse account.

Navigate to Admin > Advanced > API keys.

Click New API keys.

Enter a Description.

Select the applicable User level. For more information on how to configure an API key, see Create and Configure an API key.

Select Single user.

Enter the User details.

Select the applicable Scopes.

Click Save.

Copy the User (API username).

Copy the API key.
