Set up a connection to Syndigo

Syndigo is a leading cloud-based active content engine that empowers brands, manufacturers, retailers, and distributors to manage, enrich, distribute, and analyze their product content at scale.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection *

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

API type *

Choose your Syndigo API type:

  • Content experience suite: Connect to the Syndigo platform to create, manage, and syndicate rich product content across retailers, suppliers, and partners to streamline product data workflows

  • Asset operations: Upload, retrieve, and manage digital assets like product images, videos, and documents to centralize and sync media across systems

  • Nutritionix: Access food and nutrition data using natural language input or barcode search to power food tracking, label display, and calorie calculations

  • Photo upload: Submit product package photos like front, nutrition label, ingredients by UPC to enrich and verify nutrition and labeling data

API types: Content experience suite and Asset operations

Environment *

Select your Syndigo account environment:

  • Production: if your account URL is https://api.syndigo.com

  • UAT (testing): if your account URL is https://api.uat.syndigo.com

Username *

Enter your Syndigo account username.

Secret *

Enter your Syndigo account secret.

Multiple layers of protection, including AES 256 encryption, are in place to keep your secret safe. When editing this connection, you must re-enter this value each time; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.

API types: Nutritionix and Photo upload

UPC * (visible only for Nutritionix API)

Enter your universal product code.

App ID *

Enter your Nutritionix app ID.

App key *

Enter your Nutritionix app key.

How to retrieve the username and secret

  1. Sign in to your Syndigo with an admin account.

  2. Navigate to Profile > My account > API settings > API credentials.

  3. Copy the Username. For more information, see Authentication.

  4. Copy the Secret.

How to retrieve the app ID and app key

  1. Sign in to your Nutritionix developer account.

  2. Click Signup for your API key.

  3. Enter the User information and Contact details.

  4. Read the legal terms and conditions.

  5. Click Sign up.

  6. Copy the App ID. For more information, see Authentication.

  7. Copy the App key.
