Walmart is deprecating its ItemSpec 4.x API and requiring all sellers to adopt the enhanced ItemSpec 5.x API for product listings. To support this change, Celigo has introduced a new template-based flow—Walmart – NetSuite Product Flow (ItemSpec 5.X)—which replaces the category-based product flows in the integration app.
This document provides step-by-step guidance to migrate your existing product flow and mappings from the integration app to the new template-based product flow.
-
Existing users of the Walmart – NetSuite integration app using ItemSpec 4.x
-
Customers preparing to migrate before the deprecation deadline: August 31, 2025
The latest Walmart–NetSuite integration app bundle must be installed or updated.
-
For new users, manually install the bundle. Contact Celigo Support for assistance.
-
For existing users, Celigo will push an automatic update.
-
Go to the Celigo Marketplace.
-
Search for and install Walmart – NetSuite Product Flow (ItemSpec 5.X).
-
For install steps, refer to: Install Walmart – NetSuite Product Flow (ItemSpec 5.X).
-
Go to Settings > General.
-
In the Walmart - NetSuite integration app ID (for migration only) field, enter the integration ID of your existing Walmart - NetSuite integration app. This is required only during the integration app migration. You can find the app ID in the integration app URL.
Note
Once you fill the Walmart – NetSuite integration app ID (for migration only) field, the Walmart – NetSuite integration app Account ID or Name field will appear.
-
In the Walmart – NetSuite integration app Account ID or Name field, enter the Account ID or Account Name associated with your Walmart – NetSuite integration app. You can find this information in the integration app under Settings > General > Walmart Account Name.
-
Click Save.
Important
Each template supports one store. If you use multiple stores, install the template separately for each.
Go to Flows > Migration (One-time). The migration flow group contains three flows, each must be run in sequence
-
Prepares the environment and validates the input settings.
-
Fetches item listings from Walmart.
-
Matches them with NetSuite items.
-
Writes back the assigned product types to NetSuite.
-
Transfers existing category-based mappings from the integration app to the new product-type-based structure.
-
Links saved searches to the new flow.
-
Any unmapped or skipped fields are logged in the execution log for manual review.
Once migration is complete:
-
Go to the Product Sync flow group in the template.
-
Enable the flow titled NetSuite Item to Walmart Item Add/Update.
-
Disable the existing integration app flows:
-
(Deprecating on Aug 31, 2025) NetSuite items to Walmart products (add)
-
(Deprecating on Aug 31, 2025) NetSuite items to Walmart products (update)
-
The NetSuite Item to Walmart Item Add/Update flow allows you to export an item from NetSuite into Walmart. Whenever an item is created or updated in NetSuite, the flow exports the details of that item as a product on Walmart. The flow:
-
Uses a single unified flow with branching logic for add vs. update.
-
Powered by Mapper 2.0 with:
-
Visible section for product-type-specific mappings
-
Orderable section for common attributes
-
-
Includes separate mappers for:
-
New listings (requires more fields)
-
Updates (uses existing mapped fields)
-
For more information about the new flow and settings, refer to Walmart - NetSuite Product Flow (ItemSpec 5.X).
Walmart supports variants through:
-
variantGroupId (equivalent to matrix parent in NetSuite)
-
variantAttributeNames (e.g., Size, Color)
-
isPrimaryVariant (shows the selected variant as the default)
NetSuite fields must be mapped to match Walmart’s variant structure.
-
Use the search option in Mapper 2.0 to quickly locate and review fields.
-
You can update or add new product types anytime by editing the Product Types for listing setting and rerunning the Add/Update attribute mappings for Product Typesspecified in Settings flow.
-
Refresh the mapper UI to see newly added product types after running the Add Attribute Mappings flow.
-
Only one store per template.
-
Some mappings may require manual adjustment if no 1:1 match is found.
-
No immediate utility to identify required fields per product type, but you can reference Walmart Seller Central. A utility may be introduced later.
The existing product flows in the integration app will no longer be supported after August 31, 2025. To ensure continued functionality, install the new template flow and complete your migration before this date.
