An EDI trading partner represents the organization you exchange EDI documents with, along with the connection details and document configurations required for that exchange. While many EDI solutions provide prebuilt connections to trading partners, integrating them with your ERP often requires additional tools or vendors. Celigo simplifies this process by enabling you to configure and manage your EDI trading partner connections within a unified integration platform. This article explains how to set up an EDI Trading Partner connection in integrator.io.
Set up an EDI connection
After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required* authentication settings:
-
Select the appropriate connection in the EDI trading partners list.
-
The Create connection pane opens with required and advanced settings. Before you can establish your connection, you and your partner must exchange certain pieces of information.
Tip
Select the connection protocol you want to use to communicate with your trading partner and the business region in which you or your trading partner operates. Your selections determine the subsequent configuration steps. Selecting FTP displays the FTP-specific connection settings, and AS2 displays the AS2-specific connection settings, respectively. The selected region is leveraged while configuring downstream flows to configure appropriate EDI profiles and file definitions. For instructions on configuring other EDI Trading Partner connection protocols, see Set up an AS2 connection for AS2 connections, and Set up an FTP connection for the FTP connections.
