Set up a connection to OrangeHRM

OrangeHRM is an open-source HRIS for people management, culture, talent management, and compensation.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings.

Setting Instructions
Name your connection * Enter a clear and distinguishable name. Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections you’ve created.
Subdomain *

Enter your OrangeHRM subdomain. For example, if your account URL https://mycompany.orangehrm.com is, then mycompany is your subdomain.

OAuth
2.0 client *

To add an OAuth 2.0 client and configure your credentials, click the plus (+) button. Click the edit ( ) button to modify a selected OAuth 2.0 client. For more information, see Create an OAuth 2.0 iClient resource.

How to retrieve subdomain

  1. Sign in to your OrangeHRM account.
  2. Enter your OrangeHRM instance URL. For example, if https://mycompany.orangehrm.comis your instance, then type mycompany for this setting. 

How to retrieve client ID, client secret, subdomain, username, and password

  1. Sign in to your OrangeHRM account.
  2. Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Authentication > OAuth Clients.
  3. Specify the client ID and grant type when registering an OAuth Client. The secure client secret is auto-generated. For more information on how to retrieve client ID and client secret, see OrangeHRM REST API Documentation.
  4. Enter your OrangeHRM account subdomain. For example, if the account URL is https://mycompany.orangehrm.com, then mycompany is your subdomain.
  5. Enter your OrangeHRM account username.
  6. Enter your OrangeHRM account password. Multiple layers of protection are in place, including AES 256 encryption, to keep your connection’s password safe. When editing this form later, you must enter this value again; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.
