Set up a connection to Paylocity

Paylocity is a cloud-based human capital management software solution for core HR, benefits, payroll, talent, workforce management and employee engagement.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection *

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

API type *

Choose your Paylocity account API type:

  • Weblink: Integrate with Paylocity core HR, payroll, employee, and company data to automate data exchange between Paylocity and external systems.

  • Workforce Management: Manage time and labor data such as time clocks, punches, time cards, schedules, and accruals to sync attendance and workforce tracking data with other applications.

Environment *

Select your Paylocity account environment type:

Production: if your Paylocity account URL is https://www.api.paylocity.com.

Sandbox: if your Paylocity account URL is https://www.apisandbox.paylocity.com.

OAuth 2.0 client *

Select the OAuth 2.0 client that stores the API key (client ID and client secret) provided to you by Paylocity via email.

To add an OAuth 2.0 client and configure your credentials, click the plus (+ ) button. Click the edit ( pencil.svg ) button to modify a selected OAuth 2.0 client. For more information, see Create an OAuth 2.0 iClient resource .

Company ID *

Enter your Paylocity account company ID.

API type: Workforce Management

OAuth 2.0 client *

Select the OAuth 2.0 client that stores the API key (client ID and client secret) provided to you by Paylocity via email.

Subdomain *

Enter your Paylocity subdomain. For example, if your URL is https://celigo1.paylocity.com/, then celigo1 is the subdomain.

Company ID *

Enter your Paylocity account company ID.

How to retrieve the company ID

  1. Sign in to your Paylocity account.

  2. From Dashboard, navigate to Help > About/Copyright.

  3. Copy the Company ID.
